Summary

• We do not ask for, collect or store names, email addresses or payment details.
• There is no account system and nothing to sign up for.
• We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
• Advertising on this site is served as non-personalized, so it is not based on a behavioural profile of you.
• Standard server logs and privacy-respecting aggregate analytics are used to keep the site running and to see which pages are read.

What we collect

Information you give us. Only what you choose to send in a correction or enquiry — typically the contents of your message and the address you sent it from. It is used to reply and to fix the issue, and nothing else.

Information collected automatically. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, referrer — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. These logs are retained for a short operational period and are not used to build profiles of individuals.

Aggregate usage analytics. We look at anonymised, aggregated page-level statistics to understand which leaderboards and articles are useful. This data is not tied to an identity and is not used for advertising.

Advertising and cookies

This site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Ad requests on SOTA Model are explicitly flagged as non-personalized, which means ads are selected from the general context of the page and coarse signals such as approximate location, rather than from an interest profile built from your browsing history.

Google may still set cookies or read device identifiers for essential purposes such as frequency capping, aggregate reporting and fraud prevention, even when advertising is non-personalized. Beyond that, we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own. You can review and change how Google uses data for advertising at Google Ads Settings, read the Google partner-sites notice, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Blocking cookies in your browser does not break anything on this site.

Third parties

Pages may embed or link to external sources — benchmark leaderboards, lab announcements, news publishers, model provider pages. Following an outbound link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy, which governs what happens there. The service providers involved in operating this site are our hosting and database provider, our content delivery network, and Google for advertising delivery.

Legal basis and your rights

Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing server logs and aggregate analytics is legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website; for correspondence it is your consent in contacting us; and for advertising personalisation, where applicable, consent obtained through the consent notice shown to users in the relevant regions.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not operate accounts, in most cases the only personal data we hold about you is any correspondence you have sent us. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and to delete; we do not sell personal information as defined by that law.

Children

This site is intended for a general professional and technical audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
